It is still too early to plant spring bulbs, but it's not too early to start planning for them. Think about ordering garlic and other spring bulbs now - you don't want to wait and risk them being sold out!
Plan out your fall bulb planting now and order bulbs to plant at the end of September and October. These include onions, garlic, daffodils, tulips, iris, and crocus. There is even a fall blooming saffron crocus (that grows in Colorado) from which you can harvest saffron threads! The packages will tell you how to plant. I have had the most luck with hard neck varieties of garlic.
Bulbs are fun way to prepare for next year, whether for eating or beautiful flowers!
