What I remember most about Aunt Ruthie is her creative spirit and her incredibly kind, loving heart.

Growing up, my immediate family life was not ideal and I know Uncle John and Aunt Ruthie were both very aware of the situation with my mother. The kindness they both shared with me during my summers in Minnesota was/is dearly appreciated. Summers spent in Minnesota created a sense of peace and normalcy for me that I dearly cherish. Aunt Ruthie always made my heart smile...especially the way she looked when Uncle John said something slightly off color. LOL. You could see how much laughter and utter silliness John brought to her life.

I loved and admired Ruthie's independence, individualism, and creativity. She always dressed with her own special flare, loved color, and enjoyed art immensely. As a young girl, I looked to her as a role model that I desperately needed. Today, I have many creative hobbies that I love. I think I picked up a bit of that independence and creativity from watching your wonderful mother all those years ago.

My heart is with you, Amanda! I am so very sorry for your loss! I'm certain she is now reunited with your beloved Dad and Jud and watching over you.
Much love,
Anne

PS. I have some photo albums given to me by my Dad. I plan to go through the albums and will definitely send some that I know you will enjoy!
